LOCOMOTIVE

CHALLANGE

The challenge was to practice hard surface modeling in Cinema 4D by creating a clean and detailed 3D asset. Beyond modeling, I had to apply realistic textures, set up lighting, and animate the object in motion. This required balancing precise geometry with convincing surface detail while ensuring the animation felt natural and cinematic.

OBJECTIVE

My objective was to model and animate a train, focusing on achieving realistic movement and textures. The project demonstrates my ability to take a hard surface model from concept through modeling, texturing, and animation, resulting in a polished and believable final render.

REFERENCE

For this project, I studied real locomotive photos and video footage to understand proportions, mechanical details, and how trains move. These references helped ensure accuracy in both the model’s construction and the animation of its motion.
